Rapid Recovery
The Rapid Recovery Program is the exciting next step in the future of orthopedic care. The program enables surgeons to implement a comprehensive system of tools and techniques to help their patients make a Rapid Recovery after minimally invasive total joint replacement.
GPS System
Unlike systems that cannot compensate for the difference in red cell counts from one patient to the next, the GPS™ System adapts to the plasma/red cell interface with a floating buoy. The proprietary, finely tuned buoy mechanism is engineered to separate the plasma/red cell interface by reacting to the density of each layer. Under centrifugal forces, the buoy will “float” within the tube to the optimum interface point of the red cell/“buffy coat” layer. The optimum interface point is found regardless of the hematocrit of the patient, ensuring a consistently high platelet count for each spin.
Copeland Shoulder
The cementless Copeland Shoulder Replacement System is a surface replacement requiring minimal bone removal, which makes it an ideal option for the less destroyed shoulder.

Biomet manufactures a variety of knee replacement prostheses systems with various design features for primary and revision procedures. Total knee replacement systems require the use of femoral, tibial and patella components. The femoral and tibial components have porous and/or interlok surface finishes and are designed for uncemented or cemented applications respectively. Patella components are available with and without metal backing. The articulating surfaces of the femoral components are highly polished. Special care in handling is important to prevent any disfigurement of the highly polished surface.

The Arthritis Foundation
For centuries men and women, young and old, have been affected by
a disease in which little was known except its symptoms. But in 1948,
a group of scientists and physicians came together to take action
against this condition called arthritis. Perhaps heartened by breakthroughs
in medicine, this community of scientists envisioned a day when a
cure for arthritis would be discovered and the millions of people
with arthritis would no longer suffer. Their actions resulted in the
formation of the Arthritis Foundation
